Gambling help in Romania

Gambling support in Romania is developing quickly from a low base. In its April 2025 to April 2026 mandate year, ONJN allocated about five million euros to its first formal funding programme for prevention and treatment, covering NGO projects, addiction treatment infrastructure in public services and research. Public mental-health centres and addiction services treat gambling disorder, and a small number of NGOs specialise in problem gambling. Peer support is available through Gamblers Anonymous groups and international online services. ONJN runs the self-exclusion system and a blacklist of illegal sites. Because phone services change often, check the latest contact details with ONJN or your GP. Self-tests are prompts, not diagnoses; a professional can assess your situation properly.

If you or someone else is in immediate danger or thinking about suicide, call your local emergency number now. Helplines below are for gambling-related support and are generally free and confidential.
