Gambling help in Brazil

Brazil has no single national gambling helpline yet, but free help is available through the public health system (SUS). Psychosocial Care Centres (CAPS) and basic health units (UBS) offer assessment and treatment for gambling problems, and some university hospitals run specialist outpatient programmes, such as PRO-AMJO in São Paulo. The CVV emotional support service answers 188 around the clock for anyone in distress. Jogadores Anônimos (Gamblers Anonymous) holds online meetings nationwide. Licensed operators must display responsible gambling information and link to the government's centralised self-exclusion platform, which also stops targeted betting advertising.
