Gambling help in Malta

For people living in Malta, the Responsible Gaming Foundation (RGF) is the main dedicated support body. Its 1777 supportline is free and confidential, and callers can stay anonymous. The government's social welfare agency, through the 179 support line, can arrange one-to-one counselling, and Sedqa, Caritas Malta and the OASI Foundation provide addiction treatment and rehabilitation. Gamblers Anonymous and GamAnon meetings are held in ฤฆamrun. In 2025 the MGA launched a free, anonymous online self-assessment tool in English and Maltese, which refers users to these services; like all screening tools, it is not a diagnosis. Note that some RGF services have been affected by a transitional change at the MGA, so check current availability when you call.
