Gambling help in Ireland

Ireland has a mix of state, charity and peer-led support. The HSE funds addiction services nationwide, and its Drugs and Alcohol Helpline also takes calls about gambling. The Gambling Awareness Trust runs a 24-hour freephone helpline, while Extern Problem Gambling offers counselling and a dedicated support line. Residential and day treatment is available through centres such as the Rutland Centre, Aiseirรญ and Cuan Mhuire. Gamblers Anonymous meetings run in most counties, and the Family Addiction Support Network supports relatives. For money worries, the state-funded Money Advice and Budgeting Service (MABS) is free. Irish banks including AIB, Bank of Ireland, PTSB and Revolut offer gambling transaction blocks in their apps.
